Today as I am here with my mom-- at the hospital, I came across this Devotional by Joseph Prince. I really ministered to me-- I shared it with my mom-- and now want to share it with you!! I hope it blesses you as it did to me!!
Facts Change But God’s Word Remains
John 8:32
32And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Consider the cold, hard facts that these three people faced: The aunt of a lady in our church saw her X-ray which showed that one of her two kidneys was cancerous. A couple in our church read their medical reports which said that they would never be able to produce a child. A lady in our church who acted as a guarantor ended up being asked by the finance company to pay it S$34 million.
When such situations hit us and we allow the facts to settle in our hearts, we end up feeling greatly troubled. But when we let the truths of God’s Word settle them all, we will sense the Holy Spirit bearing witness to the truths that we are believing. He is the Spirit of truth. (John 16:13) He is not the Spirit of facts and does not bear witness to facts.
It may be a fact that you are sick. The doctors say that you are sick. The X-ray film shows that you are sick. But God’s Word says that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed! (Isaiah 53:5) That is the truth about your situation. What is the difference between fact and truth? Facts change, but truth — God’s Word — remains!
When God’s people choose to defy the facts and walk instead in His truths regarding their situations, the Holy Spirit in them will bear witness to the truths that they are believing.
The lady with the cancerous kidney underwent an operation to remove the organ. But praise God, she received supernatural restoration as later X-rays showed two healthy kidneys instead of one! God had formed a new kidney for her!
The childless couple received their miracle bundle of joy after seven years. Today, they are proud parents of not one, but four children!
The church member with the S$34 million debt told the finance company that it was not being fair to her and that God would protect her. The company’s management miraculously decided to cancel her debt!
The next time you are hit by disturbing facts, let God’s Word settle the truth about your situation. And as the Holy Spirit bears witness to the truths that you are believing, the facts will change and you will receive your miracle!

The Power of Words...
Last night, as we were going to sleep, I am laying in bed-- turn to my husband and say "I love you". He responded, "I love you too"... then after a few seconds, I say "I mean it"-- he responds "I know". Laying there in bed, I began to think about how sometimes we may say things so much, that they may seem casual-- but we really mean them!!
Have you ever thought about how your words can have so much meaning and so much power?? Through your words-- positive or negative-- you can either speak life or death over your own life, over someone else's life, over your marriage, over a situation, over a circumstance.
The word of God states in Proverbs 18:21 that "Death and life are in the power of the tongue, those who love it will eat its fruits". What does this mean?? Its simple... Quick example: Ever heard people say things like " I'm sick"?? Just by saying those words, they are declaring that sickness over their lives. Its the power of their words that dictates the status that they are in.
For the word of God says in Isaish 53:5 that "He was wounded for our transgressions, he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and by his stripes we ARE healed. It does not say we will be healed-- but WE ARE HEALED!!! Its all according to your faith!! Yes!! You may experience some symptoms, I recently experienced some symptoms of the flu-- but I believed and I declared the Word of God over my body believing that I AM the healed of God!!
Gossip is another HUGE issue!! We all know that we people gossip, its usually negative!! Speaking about other people in a negative way is speaking negativity (death) over their lives!! And not only are they speaking over that persons life, but they are planting a negative seed in the heart of the person that they are gossiping with!! Then that person goes and tells another, and another... by the end of the day, its a huge gossip web!!
Speaking over relationships is also a BIG one!! Are you in a committed relationship, engaged, married?? The words you speak over your significant other and your relationship are SOOO important!! Its imperative that you constantly keep your spouse and your relationship in prayer!! Speak life, speak unity, speak communication, speak wisdom and understanding. Honor your relationship, honor your spouse!! Above all, keep GOD the center of that marriage-- leaving all grudges, all resentment, all negative words such as divorce and separation out!! Yes-- you will have your good days and your bad days!! Your significant other will get on your nerves and you will have disagreements-- but at the end of the day, make it your prayer that God may give you patience, wisdom, peace, and strength to keep that relationship strong and united!!
Take a moment to think about the way you talk-- the way you speak over your life, over your family, over your friends, over your workplace, over situations and circumstances whether it be health, finances... I challenge you-- starting right now-- to begin to change the words your speak!! Begin to replace the negative with the positive. Begin speaking life instead of death. Begin to uplift, encourage, compliment.
Trust me-- you change your WORDS-- you change your LIFE!!!

Are you accountable??
There is something that has been in my heart for a couple days now-- its something that many of us say we are -- but at the same time, are we really?? That is being ACCOUNTABLE!!
The word accountable means to be responsible for someone or for some action.
Think about it!! Many of us can say that we are accountable to our jobs, to pay our bills, to provide for our homes. Thats easy!! Those are all responsibilities. If we don't go to work, we get fired-- which means we don't get paid-- which means we don't pay our bills-- which means we don't provide for our homes.
But are we THAT accountable when it comes to our friends and families?? I am now talking about a different type of accountability!! Its about relationships-- covenant relationships!! When you begin to notice that someone (whether it is a friend, a family member, a coworker) is all of a sudden acting different, maybe they have distanced themselves, maybe you are noticing that their acting a little funny, maybe their walk with God has slowly started to change, their Faith has weakened... You KNOW that something is different-- what do you do??
Its very easy when things are great!! You call, you text, you hang out, you spend time together, share things-- life is wonderful!! But how about when things are not so great?? Do you still call, text, show up at their house, and go after them?? Or do you allow time to pass by without doing anything-- allowing that relationship to get cold and fade away??
This year, I want to encourage you to be accountable. Extend yourself!! Be accountable to your families, to your friends, to your brothers and sisters. In the good and in the bad!! Be a helping hand!! Be that person who will listen or even that person that with God's grace will speak the truth in love. Maybe that person is going through a situation in their life that you may not even know about!! When you see them down, help them up, give them a word of encouragement!! You never know how GOD can use you to minister to that person with a simple hug, word, call, text... I encourage you to do all that you can do-- chase after them if you have to!! What if one day its you in that situation??
Lord I pray that you give us the wisdom and the knowledge to be accountable to one another. Father, that you may give us the discernment to know when our brother or our sister is down so that we may be that life line to help them back up. Lord, I pray that you give us the words to say that will uplift and encourage, words that will penetrate their hearts and minister to them!!
In Jesus name, AMEN!!
